Guest guest
Snopes on microwaved water... Evidently, the last email I sent you all was considered " false " by Snopes http://www.snopes.com/science/microwave/plants.asp Also the Canadian version of OSHA finds microwaves to be a " minimal risk " http://www.ccohs.ca/oshanswers/phys_agents/microwave_ovens.html HOWEVER: There are plenty of reputable sources that disagree with the above: http://www.health-science.com/microwave_hazards.html http://www.mindfully.org/Plastic/Microwave-Health-Problems.htm http://www.osha.gov/SLTC/radiofrequencyradiation/healtheffects.html http://manbir-online.com/htm3/new.42.htm Bottom line is that we be aware of a POTENTIAL risk and to LIMIT usage or err on the side of caution until more definitive research is done. I am not about to throw away my own microwave but do make it a point to cook on glass or ceramics rather than plastics and to cook traditionally more often (hell, it tastes better in the long run). Another option is to eat more Sushi and Tartare (raw meat :-) -- Version: 7.5.430 / Virus Database: 268.14.16/552 - Release 11/26/2006 11:30 AM
