Guest guest
Craniosacral therapy is very gentle. Nothing like chiropractic. Much gentler even than massage. The practitioner I worked with used to say he used no more pressure than the weight of a nickel. But it is a powerful therapy. We just got a new doctor in our small town, an MD, who also does Chinese medicine, acupuncture, other natural medicine and craniosacral therapy. For our area this is great news. We have to travel a long way to our homeopath. I use only alternative medicine. I would like to know more about this therapy. My body is very sensitive to any manipulations and all have to be very gentle. I can not tolerate chiropratic manipulations. My homeopathic doctor said I have scoliosis and this is causing me other problems. I am on a high potency remedy at the present time and I am wondering if this therapy is gentle enough not to interfere with the (energy) of 1 LM remedy. I will ask my homeopath, but I am interested in any ideas or experiences from the group with cranialsacral therapy. Also, I would like to put in a good word for homeopathy. I have used homeopathic medicine for about 15 years and it has kept me going through several chronic health problems. I have high praise for it. My homeopath says I will need more for the spine problem though. I also can not tolerate acupuncture and I am uncomfortable and feel a feeling like " electric " in each needle. Is there an explanation for this? Thank you, Sage ______________________________\ ____ Cheap talk? Check out Messenger's low PC-to-Phone call rates. http://voice. Guest guest
I've never had Craniosacral therapy and have never really know anyone who has experienced it either, but I know alot of therapies will warn you that things get worse before they get better. It's as if the body has to push everything to the surface to get it out. Maybe what they were experiencing was the surfacing of their problems and some more work may have shown improvement. THIS IS JUST AN OPINION. Guest guest
I also agree with Linda. I'm a CranioSacral Therapy practitioner, and I've had good results with people who can't tolerate more aggressive forms of treatment. The light touch engages the tissues " under the radar " so that their resistence doesn't kick in. That's how such a light touch can be so powerful. Sage, I'd definitely recommend trying CranioSacral Therapy. I'd also ask your new MD how much he/she does CranioSacral Therapy and how much training he/she has. Although very gentle, it does take practice and experience to perform a good treatment. You can also look up Upledger trained practitioners and all the courses each person has taken at www.upledger.com. You'd be surprised how many people are out there, even in small towns. There are also other schools of CST, but I don't know how to find out about those students. I haven't heard about CST interfering with homeopathics, but it can cause a shift in your energy, so I'd recommend staying in touch with the homeopath throughout the process. Guest guest
Sage, I have a few types of VERY GENTLE chiropractic methods that can be used on infants that you might consider. 1-Network spinal analysis might be right up your ally (no forceful movements.) It works on principles of correcting the Dura (covering membrane of the brain and spinal systems) and feels great to have done. 2-Sacro Occipital Technique, which is what I practice, is a system of Chiropractic that is cranial work at a doctors level (Cranial sacral is designed for non-doctors) combined with adjustments to the spine that are great for children and elderly people (Wedges, Motion and reflex adjusting w/o the 'pop') Cranial sacral is great stuff, I also want you to have access and knowledge about as many options as you can have. Also, sometimes cranial sacral work is helped by having the spine unbound by a chiropractor (and vice verse.)
