Hello 'priya_pink_purple,

(Interesting nic..) anyway, when I first started reading your son's

story-(I'm sorry the boy wasn't caught when it was happening)... you didn't say,

but are the doctors doing anything to help your son with his symptoms? I was

surprised to read your question which was NOT.. what more can you do for your

injured son, but rather, that you want advice on what action you should take

against the classmate who injured your son.

How will punishing the other boy help your son?

While I understand your frustration and anger regarding the boy who punched

your son--how old is the boy? Is he also as young as six? Just a lad. How could

he have known what a punch like that would do to your boy?

If you are hell-bent on having the culprit expelled by the school, or some

other form of punishment/compensation, have you informed the school of your

son's injuries? Have you sent the doctor bill to the boy's parents for

compensation or have you discussed your son's injuries with the bully-boy's

parents and asked that they be responsible for his injuries? The injuries

warrant action, that's true. First order, take care of your son. The injury

describes as fairly serious to me. Secondly, see if the school will contact the

other boy's parents for you unless you know who they are and can contact them

yourself. The little boy who did the deed is likely too young to understand

being suspended and that may explain why the school hasn't done so. What would

be the point? I do think, however, that the bully-boy's parents should be held

accountable for their son's actions. Other than these suggestions which are not

guaranteed to go anywhere; sometimes there is nothing that make

up for injury to your child.

Best wishes,

Powitree

WOW !!! I am very sorry to hear this first off !! I work at an

elementary school, there is ZERO TOLERANCE for hitting !!!! IF I were

you I would take the papers you have from the DR's and go straight to

the office of the school and tell them you would like to speak with

the Principle!!Tell the principle you are going to have the cops

involved !!! If no action is takin go straight to the district!!

Good luck keep me posted on what happens!!!
