Guest guest
I would also be interested in hearing more about this. Since I hit 40 or so, my digestive tract sometimes slows down to almost nothing. I will not go to the MD, will not have their expensive, invasive tests. I have had intermittent, mild gall bladder sypmtoms since about 30 (stress seems to do that, and I have had extreme emotional stress since age 8). I also have brown " liver spots " along my jawline, and it sounds like the liver and gallbladder are sort of interchangeable as far as symptoms like this...? When I eat too much, or maybe when the bowel just about stops for a few days, I will get really ill, strange feelings -- sort of chills and nausea and weakness and just all kinds of awful things. As long as I keep everything moving, I don't get sick like that. Metamucil-type fiber does help, and prune juice helps, but I know for real relief I need to do something better than that. I have a Vita-Mix blender, and finally started using it for the whole-food smoothies -- whatever kind of raw vegetables and fruits I have on hand. It tastes good (esp. with addition of some unsweetened coconut and cinnamon and curry powder), and when I drink those, I have no constipation. Makes sense. All that raw produce; what the body needs, anyway. When I drink this every day, and don't eat the hamburgers and crap, I feel good, so maybe that will be my answer for all my health issues.
