Guest guest
Hi there I used to have sinusitis a lot. Bromelain helps to thin out the mucus. Homeopathic belladonna 30c helps with inflammation - but this might not be the right thing in your case. Sleeping with a humidifier by my bed helped a lot. Your problem may be allergies, you really need to find out about that. My main triggers were dust and orange blossoms. Hopefully someone else can help you out a bit more, I sympathize with you. Guest guest
I would advise you to first establish the diagnosis " Sinusitis " with your family doctor, that's very important. If this is already done, then you may observe following : Drink plenty of water Regularly do steam inhalation (plain or with something like eucalyptus oil few drops, if you are not allergic to one) twice a day. Use some decongestant tab as per advice of your doctor Avoid dust & fumes Blow nose lightly, avoid vigorous blowing, as this could lead to infection further in. If the discharge / sputum is colored one, you may probably need antibiotic, ask your doctor. Hope this helps, Best wishes, ________________________________ On Behalf Of mistymadness_inme Wednesday, November 22, 2006 11:16 AM sinusitis!help me hi frenz, i'm new in this group. well plz help me in finding a cure 2 sinusitis. as it's hell while sleeping when u want 2 sleep but are not able 2 sleep because of chest congestion n blocked sinuses n inflammation all around your nose. my head aches a lot during sinusitis. condition is worse at night. since there is nasal swelling so it's hard telling frenz 2 coz ............... plz help me. Guest guest
also try a product called " OregaResp " by North American Herb and Spice. I would do one 3x a day with as bad as it sounds. Works great for all respiratory problems: ie, sinus and lung. - Ann Hutson Wednesday, November 22, 2006 2:15 AM Re: sinusitis!help me Try " Butterbur with Feverfew " mistymadness_inme <mistymadness_inme wrote: hi frenz, i'm new in this group. well plz help me in finding a cure 2 sinusitis. as it's hell while sleeping when u want 2 sleep but are not able 2 sleep because of chest congestion n blocked sinuses n inflammation all around your nose. my head aches a lot during sinusitis. condition is worse at night. since there is nasal swelling so it's hard telling frenz 2 coz ............... plz help me. Guest guest
According the the Mayo Clinic, 96% of chronic sinus infections are caused by mold/fungus. Do you have any mold in your home? Water leaks anywhere??? Molds are in the air all the time & all they need is a food source (the paper on sheetrock or wood) & moisture. Fungi & mold like dark, warm, moist places & your sinuses also make a good home for them. A good air filter might help 'catch' the mold spores if you have mold in your home. But do clear up any growing mold/water leaks you find. A Clorox & water solution will kill mold. First, get a good decongestant like Sudafed (you have to ask the pharmacist for this now as the one you likely are seeing on the shelves these days is not as good as before...drug dealers used it to make illlegal drugs, so it's been moved behind the counter). A decogestnant is a temporary solution but will give you some relief & open up your sinuses. SinusCleanser ( http://www.sinuscleanser.com/ ) is a very good product. It has anti fungal products in it that will help get rid of the cause. You can buy it a little cheaper here: http://www.alohanoni.com If you like to do things, you can make a good sinus cleanser yourself. I get a bottle of the regular Saline Nasal Spray, remove the cap (pull it out with some pliers) & add the following ingredients, which help get rid of mold or fungus: Olive Leaf Extract, this also kills bacteria & virii. Just open up a capsule & add some to the saline solution. (1/4 capsule...more or less) Grapefruit seed extract will help, but don't add very much as it will give a burning feeling. Try 3 or 4 drops...experiment with how much you can tolerate. Sometimes if I have it, I add xylitol. It's a 'sugar' that helps get rid of bacteria...it keeps them from sticking to the mucous/walls of your sinuses/bladder or anywhere else. It's in a lot of sugar free gums so it's healthy. In fact, if your child suffers from earaches, giving them a sugar free gum with xylitol in it will help get rid of the problem. You don't need to add much of these. The saline solution itself will help by just 'washing' your sinuses. Now put the top back on the bottle by pushing it back down so that it snaps into place & it's ready to use. Shake it before using each time. Lie back & squeeze some of this into each nostil a couple of times a day at least at first. It will help a lot. On your diet, I have noticed that milk causes my sinuses to produce much more mucous...ever see a cow's nose & how slimey it is??? LOL ...wonder if that is telling us something? Try to stay off sugar & grains, especially white bread, for a while as those items put the sugar in your system that yeasts & molds love. Guest guest
One of the things I have used for sinus problems is Wild Oregano. You can get it in herbal gel caps or concentrated oil caps. I use the brand OregaMax, but there are other brands out there you can try also. It just thins out the mucus in your sinuses and helps with infections also. I take one or two a day when things are bothering me. For me it works better than some cold and sinus remedies that dry up your head and cause headaches. I started using it when I had sinus problems from having cats in the house, but found it good for colds dust allergies. The cats are gone, but I still buy wild oregano. There is one bad side effect that sometimes happens in the beginning. You have more gas and so you will have to decide if this would be a big problem or not. Once you have been taking the pills for a while, this problem stops. Check out the all-new Mail beta - Fire up a more powerful email and get things done faster.
