Candy:

Check the archives for recent messages Victoria wrote

about lower back pain, as well as others for

beginners, which should be near the start of messages.

A starting point for lower back pain is the kidneys.

Sounds like possible sciatica, which I have, but water

retention (edema), too. Skipping meat may not be a

good idea, you should read Vinod's recent posts about

diet. You may need the nutrition from meat. At the

same time you should look at how much wheat you

consume, this may increase dampness.

You've come to the right place for an education. Spend

time reading the archives, and the group will have

lots of suggestions for you.

Your body has meridians and channels that distribute

Qi, which cycles around your body daily. Blockages in

these channels leads to health problems, so you may

have stasis or blockage in one or more channels.

Kind regards, Jack

Hi Candy,

What the chinese healer meant with 'need to get the channels

open', is that

1st: you have them blocked.

2; you need to unblock them.

well, that's all 'obvious'. What he is referring to are the

Meridians, or Channels of Qi(Chi), you may use acupuncture and

herbs to help open them. But the 'real thing' is Qi Gong(or Chi

Kung), he probably can help you with that, he can teach you some

exercises that you may do at home, every day, and check out your

progress with him regularly. Take a look at references for

these(Qi Gong, Channels etc) at the grouparchives and/or search

the internet(altavista/google...) it, it is worth it.

cheers!

Marcos

I have just returned from Japan and would like to post on some of

the ideas that caught me there - and will try to do this in a few

days when things are more settled.

First though I would like to comment on the thread that has

developed about Candy's posting. This type of issue shows the

problem of trying to get medical advise in the Internet. Many people

might read a posting and make all kinds of reckless and unfounded

assertions in reply without any real basis for what is being

asserted. In my opinion it is totally irresponsible to project an

indefensable analysis on health issues without really taking the

case.

Many people comment on health issues who are in no way qualified to

do so. I pray that Candy and others take things that others say

about their health condition with a grain of salt. One has no way of

knowing the qualifications of the various members who might make

comments.

It is absolutely unfair to make dire diagnosis without suffecient

info to do that. Candy - your condition the outlines of which are

quite common - needs a qualified practioner to examine you and

analyse the case. To assume anything is simply not valid.

Please be careful not to unnecessarily freighten people with an

uninformed diagnosis - true professional health providers do not go

in the Internet claiming to be able to diagnose a case with a

minimum of symptoms given and without seeing the patient. This is

not ethical practice of medicine and brings into question the

qualifications of the person making such a diagnosis.

Remember this is a group of many people who have different interests

in being here and it is not correct that everyone here is qualafied

to discuss medical issues or diagnose cases. Please do not take most

personal analyses as authoratative - the person making these

comments may or may not have any qualifications whatsoever - so

beware.

The best part of this group is its educational role. Medical

diagnosis as I have said many times here is not possible in this

context. Patients should not take all comments seriously -

especially if someone is trying to give an unjustified and dire

diagnosis of an individual case.

Thank you for that advise. I am a nurse with many years of experience and do use

the site as educational and for information.

I am not interested in a diagnosis. If my post sounded that way it was not to

be. I am interested in the herbs I was given and just am very interested in

Chinese medicine.

Thank you so much for your concern and taking the time to post your message. I

appreciate it.

E-mail I find is an excellent way of communicating; but I have found sometimes

what one is trying to post is not always understood or interpreted in the matter

it was to be.

Thank you,

  • 8 months later...

I have been having a problem lately. On the crown of my head, I have a unch of

sores. They get a scab on them and itch. When I scratch, the scab comes off

and it is real sore. Would anyone know what this is? And what to do for it?

It is only on the crown of my head.

Thank youo in advance.

I use sea breeze daily and it works quite well. I know it is not a homeopathic

item but it works.DG

In our house we use- Listerine- straight up Listerine. My husband uses it on

his head for pimples and such- and my daughters and myself- we used it on our

faces for pimples- we use it like a toner- I think it works wonders! I also use

it sometimes under my arm pits before deodorant.
