hello everyone

I am new to this group, but I would appreciate any points anyone may

have on avoiding this food additive, which i call a demon when I am up

all night with feet and hands itching and blistering...not fun at

all..This is really hard to avoid I am finding, because it is not

always listed on the ingredient list of foods. The law only requires it

to be listed if is added in true form..One thing I have had a hard time

replacing in my diet is salt..seems most salts add dextrose to it and

dextrose has added msg..so if anyone has found a salt not including msg

I would appreciate you letting me know about it.

thank you all

my roommate has the same problem!!! it took me a while to learn how

to shop for both of us!!

okay, anything autolyzed or hydrolyzed stay away from.

anything with " natural smoked flavor "

do not use the seasoning Accent... don't use any of those already

mixed up deals if you can help it.

eating out is possible but stay away from Po'Folks. Cracker Barrel

is okay... certain things at places like Friday's or Applebee's are

okay.

hope this helps!!

Cook all your own food. It's the only way to know what is really in

something if you use fresh, whole grains, organic vegetables and organic

meat.

Besides cooking all you food so you know exactly what goes into it,

you can just use sea salt, organic if you can find it. Nothing

added. 8 ) Or you could be like us, and go to the extreme of

growing 75% of what we eat!

You can also use seaweed to add to soups and stews - kombu works very well

- this has the added benefit of being a little salty, very mineralizing and

softens beans. Just make sure you get a North Atlantic variety or someone

with very good quality. You don't want to be using something too

commercial that reeks of mercury and contamination.
