Guest guest
This works very well and should fix you right up: Do not eat raw vegetables - especially lettuce, these are pretty hard to digest and can set off an attack of IBS and severe abdominal pain (usually just below the rib cage) Take Metamucil every day without fail.. The small intestine needs the fiber and it will calm the inflammation. You can also eat small amount of the fiber cereal but don't get to carried away at first, it can cause gas and diarrhea if you do too much without getting used to it, start with 3 or 4 spoon fulls of Allbrand or similar fiber cereal a day and build up progressively to a larger amount. Pretty simple but well proven Aubrey , " ginacollette_1 " <ginacollette_1 wrote: > > Hi, I was recently diagnosed with ibs. I am in alot of pain still. Guest guest
Be careful...some fibre can be too irritating on a damaged illeum if it is weak or damaged. I suffered from IBD for years..diagnosed with Crohn's. Am now symptom free due to some natural supplements and using specific vitamins. I cannot handle too much fibre in my diet and owuld be hesitant to recommend a high fibre diet. Everyone is different..guess they could start VERY slow and see what happens. Just be cautious and careful and if you want to know my supplement regime i would be happy to help Vanessa , " asims1956 " <asims1956 wrote: > > This works very well and should fix you right up: > > Do not eat raw vegetables - especially lettuce, these are pretty hard > to digest and can set off an attack of IBS and severe abdominal pain > (usually just below the rib cage) > > Take Metamucil every day without fail..
