Guest guest
hi, i was diagnosed with lyme about 10 months ago, i've been on tetracycline since then. i am better than i was at the time, i was very crippled one year ago. the peripheral neuropathy has mostly gone, and i occassionally slip on my tetra schedule so i don't know whether that's why i flare or not. but, flare i do. i'm coming out of a serious 5 day pain cycle. my biggest problems now are my knees and elbows. they swell, and are very painful. when i bend my knees, the fluid parts bulge out like those asian goldfish eyes! they are not very stable either. tendons snap around in them as well as in my elbows, and i'm unable to fully straighten my arms. my elbows are stuck it seems. and it doesn't seem like bone so much as tendon issues. and the pain or swelling migrates constantly, sometimes by the hour. this has taken my strength from me, and really changed my life for the worse. i am very much weakened from this. it's soooo hard to exercise. does anyone have any advice? i'm beginning to dispair of getting my life back fully. thanks, anita
