Herbal Medicine contraindicators?

I'm showing a pre-recorded " lesson " on Herbal Medicine tomorrow night

for my Extension Homemakers group. I know this is short notice, but I

wondered if anyone knew of a site or other database which I could print

out listing contra-indications of various herbs. For instance don't use

peppermint while pregnant, or Echinacia is not good for those with

auto-immune disorders. Perhaps it might include indicators as well,

peppermint for digestion etc. I am not looking for a book - a page or

two is more adequate.

Please email me privately.

Thanks!

Do not use either Gingko Biloba or large amounts of Vitamin E with drugs

that thin the blood as both Gingko and Vitamin E do as well.

No raspberry when pregnant either.

Do not take Echinacea for more than three weeks at a time... take a break

then resume.

For stomach/digestion- chamomile, peppermint,

For lungs - meadowsweet, yarrow,

For kidneys/bladder - dandelion leaf, nettle

Blood cleanser - burdock

Liver - milk thistle

There are myriad herbs that address a number of different ailments, the

ones above are the most common. Please note that most herbs take about 3

weeks to build up to strength in the system and using a loading dose for

the first week is helpful. A loading dose being twice the normal dosage.
