High Blood 'Calcium' from excessive supplements Leading to Calcium &

Magnesium " Deficiency "

I have a client who has several " nodules " on her thyroid (as per her doctor) and

her bood calcium has been elevated for several months.

Her Parathyroid tests are normal, her bone scans are normal. But the

Endocronologist wants to remove nodules and remove part of the Parathyroid -

as he claims that she will eventually have osteoporosis, and other health

problems such as kidney stones from this " excess " calcium.

My guess is that she probably doesn't have enough dietary calcium or the right

calcium - so her blood is leeching it out of her bones....

SUBJECT: RE: BLOOD CALCIUM HIGH

Usually when a doctor sees calcium in the blood he takes people off their

calcium...when in actuality, it means they are low on calcium (body is leeching

from bones) and cannot utilize the calcium they are taking.

Calcium not utilized properly settles in the soft tissue...usually causing joint

pain.

Change to a different (I like bone meal best) calcium, and feed the

thyroid...(KELP), and maybe suggest she go back for a recheck in about 6

weeks....the nodules may be gone!

A hormone produced by the thyroid is calcitonin which decreases the calcium

levels in the blood. It also increases osteoclast absorption and formation.

It inhibits the release of calcium from the bone.

Phosphates (soda and carbonated drinks) can inhibit calcitonin production. When

calcium in the blood is high then there is:

1. A magnesium deficiency preventing calcium and lipoproteins to be drawn

through the intestinal membrane. Also the anterior pituitary plays a role in

this where it is unable to control magnesium via hormonal control. You can help

by adding magnesium, B12, Super Algae or Master Gland and bitters.

2. Or an improper bile emulsification preventing fats from being absorbed (it

would depend on the other blood tests that are out. No SINGLE blood test is a

stand alone test). This would be helped with things like lecithin, B6, Gall

Bladder Formula, l-Carnitine and Cellular Energy.
