Hi!

Do you know the medical name for fluid in the lungs so I can look it up in my

books, or how to cure it. My Mom was supposed to have hip surgery tomorrow

morning, but now one doctor says they can't because of a small amount of fluid

in the lungs and low oxygen level. But the longer she waits, with tons of

pain medication the worse her mind and body gets.

Thanks!

Karen

Karen, I believe the correct term is " dropsy " ? That was the old

fashioned terminology anyway, only God knows what they call it now.

You may still be able to find something under that name.

My grandmother had water on the lungs so badly the family physician

said she was literally drowning. In those days they made house calls

and the family doctor gave her some shots. I'm sure its not at all

what you would consider a 'natural' remedy but it served the

purpose. There are numerous natural diuretics as well, however in a

case like this I think I would resort to the drugs temporarily and

rely on the herbs later. If they're saying that they don't have a

remedy for her, that is simply not true.

This response is typical when very elderly are involved whom 'they'

regard as 'terminal' anyway.

On this particular occasion our family doctor came to the house,

shook his head and said my grandmother wouldn't survive through the

night. She did and survived many more years as well.

So much for " predictions " .

All the Best,

JoAnn
