Guest guest
I am loath to have the tooth removed because I hate dentures. I gag with them and because the two teeth in front are missing and next ones are crowns there is no support for the type of denture that I could accept, one that does not go over the roof of my mouth. I am not so sure about the long term viability of implants and as it is in the upper jaw it is difficult to do an implant. I reckon that if the gingival pockets could be closed it would help a lot. Although the tooth hurts if I press hard on it from the the side it does not hurt if I push down on it, and I have no other obvious symptoms, certainly no swelling in the jaw or elsewhere in the mouth. Some months ago a person posted some advice suggesting that gum problems can be healed in time with a type of water pistol directed into the gingival pockets. I hoped that there would be a comment on that approach, or perhaps some other advice would be forthcoming. Any further suggestions? Best wishes, Robin
