Guest guest
Fernwoods Sun, 14 Mar 2004 07:40:54 EST Mad cow disease straight from the horse's mouth califpacific Mad cow disease straight from the horse's mouth Mad cow disease straight from the horse's mouth Hi Dave Louthan here, I'm the guy who shot the mad cow. I am also the guy who has been beating the hell out of the USDA. Well Mexico has caved in to Ann Veneman. A few days ago she said Mexico's reluctance to open their borders was frustrating her. Well, apparently she dragged out the Federal checkbook and now that border is open. Our friends south of the border are going to be able to enjoy some good American contaminated beef. She's telling the world she has done all these wonderful scientific things to stop the spread of BSE when in fact she has not done a damn thing except suspend all BSE testing. When Creekstone Farms said they wanted to test 100% of their beef the USDA told them they would be violating Federal law and stopped them. The FDA is trumpeting how they finally got around to protecting the feed supply. Hello people, the cows we are eating right now have been eating the contaminated feed since birth. They are toxic as hell, their calves are toxic and their calves will be toxic. BSE doesn't care about regulations, it's already in the animals. When you sit down to dinner tonight, you are going to be eating Prions. They are going to kill you and your children. Spit that meat out of your mouth it's bad. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN LYING TO YOU SINCE THE VERY MINUTE THE MAD COW WAS DISCOVERED. They claimed it was a downer. They forced Rodney Thompson, the USDA vet on duty that day, to change the paper work on that cow from being a walker to being a downer. And now they are going to prosecute him for it. Then they banned the slaughter of downers for consumption. What they really did was stop all BSE testing. We were only supposed to be testing downers. If there are no more downers then that means no more testing, Get it. That cow was a walker and got tested only by accident. All of you must realize that by now. IT WAS A FLUKE. You people in the media need to go to Washington D.C. and ask Ann Veneman how many cattle intended for human consumption she has tested since Dec. 26. The answer is 0. None. It's a damn white wash and you people are buying it hook, line, and sinker. If somebody doesn't help me to stop the Government from spreading mad cow disease it's just going to get worse and worse. The hospitals are going to fill up with the dead and dying victims of a government controlled by Billionaire beef producers who don't give a damn about you or your kids. Each and every one of you have got to help me anyway you can think of. If you're a reporter you have got to ask the hard questions again and again until they are forced to tell the truth. If you work for the Government you need to reach down inside yourself bring up some courage and confront the people you work for and call the media and tell them the truth. If you are a meat consumer you have got to stop buying that contaminated beef. Throw the meat you have in your refrigerator away. It's loaded with Prions. CALL YOUR CONGRESSMAN AND TELL HIM TO FIX THE MEAT PROBLEM TODAY; Not tomorrow, not next year. TODAY. Right now. THE GOVERNMENT IS TRYING TO KILL YOU IN THE NAME OF PROFIT. You have got to stand tall now. Have courage. Speak loud and long. Make the food you feed your children safe  Alert: Contaminated Beef/Mad Cow Disease Mon Feb 16 12:48:48 2004 63.164.94.150 Range Guide: Alert: Contaminated Beef/Mad Cow Disease In the February 3 New York Times, Donald G. McNeil interviewed Dave Louthan, who slaughtered the cow on December 9 that was later discovered to have had Mad Cow Disease. He disputes the official statement that the diseased cow was a " downer " and says, " Mad cows aren't downers. They're up and they're crazy. " This means they'll be much harder to identify, unless every single cow is tested. He also says that during slaughtering, debris from the spinal cord, where the dangerous prions lurk, " runs all over the beef. " When Louthan heard the misinformation about the diseased cow being a " downer, " meaning a cow that can no longer walk, he began writing and e-mailing newspapers and government agencies. He says the cow was only identified as having the disease due to a " fluke " and accuses the Agriculture Department of parking cars outside his home " trying to scare me. " He claims one agent ordered him to stop sending e-mail. He says the cow with Mad Cow Disease came from another ranch in Washington State and was " a good walker. " The only sign of disease was that her eyes were " all white, bugging out " and she was extremely restless. He thinks that not enough cattle are being tested for the disease because, " One mad cow is a scare, but two is an epidemic. They absolutely, positively don’’t want to find another. " Louthan also says that current slaughtering methods contaminate the entire carcass with spinal cord debris, meaning all the meat could become contaminated, not just the parts which harbor disease prions. McNeil writes that, " …… splitters cleave the spinal column from neck to tail as hot- water jets blast fat and bone dust off the saw. " This slurry, containing potentially dangerous spinal material, flows over the beef, which is then cleaned by spraying with hot water and vinegar, neither of which will kill the prions. Louthan lost his job after he told TV news reporters he was sure the Mad Cow had already been ground into hamburger and eaten. STOP THE MAD COW MADNESS! Thu Mar 11 13:39:24 2004 199.3.199.248 davelouthan.org Surf around this site, friends---if you eat beef--ANY cut, it can only help to be informed. exerpt: " The Secretary of Agricultures own appointed committee of scientists and experts told us we have Mad Cow Disease (BSE) in the herd and a lot of it. Start testing immediately. But Ann Veneman stands there with her feet stuck in the mud refusing to cross her pals at the Beef Producers Association. She doesn't care how many people die as long as she knows she's got a high dollar job waiting for her in the private sector. Nice going Ann. All right folks ya'll know who I am and ya'll know what I'm trying to do. I have been in this fight since Dec. 24. Twenty hours a day, 7 days a week. I lost my job and my home but I have continued to pound away at the USDA relentlessly. My days are full of talking to dozens of reporters and sending 100's of emails trying to get this BSE thing stopped. I don't want to get to dramatic here but I have had nothing but trouble from the people who want to make big money off bad meat. You've read about it in the N.Y. Times, various news sources and all over the Internet. These people have spent millions of dollars trying to cover up the squeaky little voice from the desert. Despite that, my voice has been joined by other voices and is steadily growing into a roar of people who are sick and tired of Gov't corruption and Big Beef with their constant false assurances that there is no danger from BSE. In fact it's already killed a bunch of people in England and various pockets of dead people right here in the U.S. These victims of Mad Cow poisoning would love a chance to help stop BSE but they can't. They're dead. YOU CAN. Time is short though. Every minute that goes by, another mountain of potentially contaminated beef is sold and eaten by people who have been duped by the USDA's nonstop reasurrences and half-truths. That's why I believe I've done all I can out here in the sticks. It's time to take this fight downtown. A bunch of my reporter friends and I are going to Washington D.C. and we are going to get some thing done about this. Peter B. Collins from All American Talk Radio and the Icicle Networks have got me a plane ticket and they are helping me raise money to run on. Many people are coming forward with donations for the cause. You can help to with money and support. No donation is too small. Every little bit helps. I have been kicking their butts on $131 dollars a week unemployment. Imagine what I could do with a budget. I've never lied to you people and I never will. I won't waste a nickel of your money. That's just me. When we win this thing, and we will win! Any money left over will go to help kids that need it.
