Guest guest
What are the thoughts of people here on boosting a compromised immune system bearing in mind, and I quote ... " When your immune system is gone, so are you " . I forget where on the 'net I read that now but I've not forgotten it !!! My reason for asking is that I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 1988 and I do boost my immune system, however there's those who say I should *not* be doing this.. Thanks for any comments, Nancy

Do what YOU think feels best. Grace .............................. I believe that works on a certain level. Telling everyone that though, you may be playing with fire. I'm not sure, but I think RA is classified as an autoimmune condition? This is where the problem lies, with autoimmune conditions. It is the body's immune system attacking itself. You're telling people to increase thebody's ability to attack itself by boosting their immune system. It can make things much worse. I've witnessed this within my own family. I believe that with any autoimmune condition, one must firstinvestigatewhat created the conditionin the first place and address that issue first, and once corrected, then begin work on boosting and strengthening the immune system. On another point, justbecuase someone " hems and haws " athaving to explain thenselves is not a good indicator of the validity of the information. In personaltiy type psychological models there are certain personalities that may become frustrated at having to explain details, and other personalitiy types that thrive on those very details. Stepping back, the details remian unchanged. What is different is the person exlaining the details. FWIW Khepri
