Guest guest
Depends on where the rash is? What caused this rash any idea? A paste of baking soda and acv may help. Chickweed ointment would be another. Could also try bentonite clay or just about any cooling mud. Guest guest
Hey Don!! The rash is on the arm and chest and is very itchy. I don't know what caused the rash. She had a little bit of a cold coming on earlier in the week and started loading up on her echinacea, goldenseal, vitc and colloidal silver. I suspect it is her body trying to rid itself of toxins, maybe due to the echinacea, GS or colloidal silver. I think her rash is a good thing personally, because she said that she never had one like it before. I like when the body sends signals, it lets us know that we are promoting a change of some kind. She put some CVS cream crap on the rash and I was looking for something more natural to just stop the itching. Take care, Rob Don Quai [mysticalherbalist] Wed 12/3/2003 2:27 PM herbal remedies Cc: Re: [herbal remedies] Rash Depends on where the rash is? What caused this rash any idea? Guest guest
Hi Rob, Definitely sounds like a toxin dump. You could also try a hot bath, good diaphoretic tea and a cup or two of epsom salts in the water. Will help to draw out the toxins quicker. Then slap on a bentonite mud pack. Guest guest
Make a tea with oatmeal and put it on it, to soothe it. For antihistimine try one of these: chamomile tea, nettle tea, ginger tea, grapeseed extract, green tea... You can also make a tea with oatstraw and put it on the area, but I like oatmeal better. Calendula tea and aloe gel also work externally. I used to get hives quite a lot and got ver good at making them go away. My record is one hour. lol herbal remedies , " Riki " <heartlight@c...> wrote: > > I'm not sure if pictures can come through on the list or not, but I am > posting one of a rash on my daughter's arm. Guest guest
Looks like a very broad herpes infection to me. Suggest lots of garlic and / or Total Tonic, Echinacea, and DMSO to be taken internally. Suggest Jojoba 9% Tea Tree Oil combination and / or Black Walnut Hull tincture to be applied topically, along with two daily rounds of hot and cold therapy using a shower wand. Guest guest
Looks like impetigo (sp?). Wash the affected areas with iodine. Put a drop of tea tree oil in 2 tablespoons calamine lotion and spread that on. Total Tonic would help as well. Don't let her scratch it. Guest guest
Patient with skin allergy, doctor recommended telfast but not happy to stay on anti-histamines so wants to go on alternative approach. Might put her either in elimination diet (rotational) or send her of for tests at pathology for full on allergy test (but RAST is not always effective in pinpointing the problem). Might also give her my specialty detox herbal mix too to get her going. Other treatment might be homoeopathics. Any suggestions?
