Guest guest
Morning Rick, I used the wrong word. ..... not a sauna at all. >Building a Sunlight Sauna sounds like a good idea. I should have called it a " sunlight room " or similar. This would be a small room built outside, with 4 walls and a door. NO TOP! The walls would have a specific height at 90 deg, then a slope to carefully selected to avoid blocking the sun rays. A table would exist in the center. This arrangement would allow maximum exposure to the sun and it could be used even when outside air temperatures were low. Presently, 60 deg F is about the lower limit for removing clothes to gain exposure to sunlight. > Would it have a UVB ource? The UVB is the ultimate health booster - not > only for vitamin but no known harmful bacteria/virus can withstand UVB. I did not plan this media due to lack of knowledge and study at this time. Would this be of value when full spectrum sunlight was used? >The only drawback to a sauna is sweat or showers can negate the vitamin D >production in our skin if washed out within one hour. When working in the sun, there is no way to avoid sweat, which has benefits. At times when the humidity and wind is favorable, one can work in the sun with little sweat. > An option to >get UVB in winter is a UVB source Tanning Lamp - an example: ><http://www.sperti.com/products.htm>http://www.sperti.com/products.htm OK.... will study this a bit. >Let me know how you were planning to build a Sunlight Sauna? Working on the plans, in my mind. Of course in a few weeks, springtime will be here and I won't need it. Maybe before next winter. >I was thinking of building an Far Infrared sauna with a built in UVB >source - but don't know how to get around the sweat problem washing >off the UVB effect. >Rick Life is a dilemma, is it not?
