Guest guest
Evening Joann, I would like to remain silent at times, however ....... I was concerned when I read that you're more susceptible to kidney >disease if your " good " cholesterol is low. What's the connection and >what can you do about it? First, high and low are meaningless terms, defined only with " Fuzzy Logic " . Is 25 low, is 35 low, or is 45 low? What is high? 45, 50, 60 ? Regardless of what a super athlete has, us common working class should not be compared with those guys. We will never make the numbers they have. I thought we all agreed long ago, everything relating to cholesterol was a fraud, defined by some research people as the " biggest monetary rip off " in the history of modern man, primitive man as well. I would like to know some HDL number from some of you. Reason being, the people I know with the highest " GOOD CHOLESTEROL " are the sickest people I know in the world today. I have one blood report on my website from a 53 year old female. She is overweight, lives in a very dark house, hates sunlight, and eats improperly. Never heard of exercise. HDL or 52 or 54. Guess what? Her good cholesterol is higher than all my healthy friends, including one who is a runner, runs 25 miles per week, and has done so for many years. One of my friends had bone disease, has a morphine pump installed to lessen pain, AGAIN, his HDL is 25 % higher than my healthy friends who are never sick and seldom go to the doctor. Some of these friends are high energy, hard working, don't catch colds, flus, have zero ailments. Now, my wife is very sick, cancer, chemotherapy, lung draining for a year..... guess what? Another HDL of 54. For me, I like the way my body chemistry set mine, about 39 to 42 . Even the lifelong runner is in the mid 40's. Again...... everyone I know who has HIGH HDL is sick. ( Over 50 ) Wheres the facts to support any of the cholesterol bull? The highest my total cholesterol has ever been is 212. a few years ago it was running in the 180's and 160's. All the milk, eggs, and meat seems to keep it just right. I had a long talk with a cardiologist while visiting a friend in the hospital who had a heart attack. The sawbones was half way bragging about his 160 reading and in the same breath talking about which drug he was using ! I told him mine was 160 without drugs. At that time, I had a 166. But then, I was nearly twice as old as he was. >You can raise HDL by increasing outdoor exercise, drinking wine >in moderation, and eating only certain healthy fats (monounsaturates such >as extra virgin olive oil and omega-3s from sources like alaskan salmon >and sardines). I don't believe the above statement. Notice a KEY word that seems out of place. " OUTDOOR " Why ? What is outdoor exercise going to do that indoor exercise does not do? then... Glory be ...... there is something magic outdoors that is not indoors, so it is not the exercise. Actually, I think 100 % of everything relating to cholesterol is phoney, and designed to kill people, or else bankrupt them. Many of my friends who believed the cholesterol fraud, and practiced it, are either dead now or have had heart attacks. NO eggs, no milk, no meat, eat margarine instead of butter, use all the phony oils instead of pig fat for cooking. Some people still eat lard. One final though, how could all my HDL, LDL and all other aspects of cholesterol be very much out of balance, when every single item on my EFA profile was in normal range when last tested. Consider that nutrition is a new science. Not all the scientists went to the same school, nor did they all have the same textbooks. This must be the only reason they all disagree.
