Guest guest
This is a very interesting site and i enjoy the posts. For me, i feel that there is a place for both alternative and conventional medicine- i mean they are both there to support your health so lets just call it 'medicine'. i also feel that 'medicine' at the moment is continually evolving to incorporate all forms too and vitamin supplements et al are a total waste of time and money ! for me , what you eat should provide your body all it needs not supplements. Guest guest
Sorry, but I would tend to disagree. Even my best nutritional diet still lacked a few things and needed to be supplemented (vitamin B complex and minerals in electrolyte form...aka " dissolved completely in water. " This is NOT the same as " colloidal. " ). Keep in mind that even organic foods we buy in the store can suffer from lack of nutrition since a field only needs 3 years of no pesticides to be considered organic (organic is still better than conventional though!). Before the point where it is considered " organic " , the soil could have been over farmed for 100 yrs or more leaving it very nutritionally poor. Conventional medicine for me is always a LAST resort. I have found that there are very few AMA ( " American Medical Assoc. " ) doctors who are willing to listen to the naturopathic way of doing things. Conventional medicines FORCE the body to do a certain thing rather than allowing natural healing. If the body could have healed a certain sickness, then it would have done so if it had the building blocks. I believe in giving the body what it needs to allow it to heal itself on its own. It takes patience and learning on a person's part though. The patience pays off in the long run and is a PERMANENT fix. This is a marvelous road to travel on. Try it! So while I agree that many over-the-counter supplements are a waste of money, there are some out there that are absolutely outstanding.
