Morning Joann,

First, let me say I appreciate all the hard work and research you

do. Sometimes I think you never sleep.

I also realize that I am a bit hard nosed, bunt, and may exaggerate my

ideas and opinions at times.

However I have reasons and justification, millions of sick people, and tens

of millions of visits to doctors with zero results, often not even a single

suggestion or recommendation relating to the primary reason for which

patient went to see the doctor.

>> No one is suggesting that anyone give up meat entirely,

In recent years, I find I am eating less and less meat. Not due to any

mind set or discipline, but simply because I want less meat.

I eat a steak about every two or three months. I often do not eat a whole

pork chop at one sitting.

Some days I eat no cooked food at all. I try to make this 50% of the days.

ON the days I eat any cooked food, it is usually only one small meal.

Nevertheless, I think this issue of people eating too much protein is a

non-issue. Some people eat too much meat, some drink too much, some smoke

too much, others drive too fast, skydive, and play russian roulette.

Why worry about them? Our studies, research, and suggestions should be

directed to the people who are diligently trying to improve health, improve

their diet, and learn the buried and suppressed secrets of health.

Real world example, .... A relative died of cancer at age 52. He had

enough money to buy a 55 gal drum of vitamins and minerals every month.

The last time I visited him, on the deck behind his house, were 5 charcoal

grills. He ate steak, potatoes, and bread way too often. Once when he

visited me a few years before, I put together 3 days of vitamins in

individual bottles.

When I talked to him later, he told me he felt much better on those 3 days

than

he had in a year. Yet.... he continued in his evil ways.

So, I will agree, some people eat too much protein.

>There are SO many abnormalites that are closely linked to America's

>high protein diets.

We still have not defined high, low, and average. You must have some

percentages in mind.

For many years, I have believed these numbers to be, 40, 40, and 20. P,

F, C.

Since I have been eating more fruit and raw vegetables, I would reconsider,

and think 33,33,33 would be acceptable.

Life is somewhat a gambling situation at best. All we are doing is

trying to stack the cards a bit in our favor.

Honestly, I am concerned about getting enough fat more so than any other

concern.
