[MC_USA] Drug Nutrient Depletion and Flesh Eating Bacteria

Drug Nutrient Depletion

Drug Nutrient Depletion is an iotrogenic condition rarely discussed or

understood, even though it has deadly potential. Tens of thousands of

articles have been written about this subject yet only a handful of doctors

are aware that drugs block vital processes, deplete or destroy nutrients,

and destroy the immune system.

Drugs are not designed to enhance or normalize body functions; instead they

are designed to block critical body processes. In common usage, not one,

but many processes are blocked that are critical to health. This effect is

not limited to high cost, high power drugs and antibiotics. Even the

non-prescription medi-cations such as aspirin, Tylenol, sinus medication,

allergy medication, and pain pills all are highly destructive to health.

Before we begin to loose sleep over this issue we must accept that fact

that specific nutrients and their metabolism are essential to health and

life itself. These processes effect the production of blood cells,

trans-portation of oxygen, and anti-body production. Without these

processes, health will decline rapidly and life will cease.

The most common and frequent crime against health is antibiotic destruction

of the friendly bacterial in the digestion track. Once this happens, it

could take months or years for restoration of the 12 pounds of friendly

intestinal flora. During this time, hundreds if not thousands of chemical

processes have stopped, the immune system is crippled, and overall health

suffers.

This leads to a malabsorption of nutrients with symptoms such as bloating,

gas, diarrhea, belching, constipation, pressure and sometimes rebound

acidity. To en-sure that your bowel flora is intact, take lactobacillus

acidophilus each time you take the antibiotic, and possibly take it for

five to seven days after the course of antibiotics is finished to ensure

normalization.

Actually, Acidophilus is one of about a dozen of bacterial that can be

provided by a complete probiotic supplement.

Arthritis medications includes non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID)

drugs such as Aspirin, Ibupro-fen and Advil. NSAID medicines can cause

increased urinary excretion of Vitamin C. This vitamin is essential for

maintaining connective tissue, reducing the levels of free radicals that

weaken the immune system, and synthesizing collagen to strengthen bones.

People who take NSAID's for arthritis for years suffer worse joint damage

than those who take nothing. Aspirin blocks the production of

delta-6-desaturase, which blocks the conversion of alpha linoleic acid into

gamma linoleic acid. Delta-6 desaturase is the rate-limiting step for

transforming linoleic or linolenic acid into the longer EFA metabolites,

GLA and EPA, respectively, and delta-6 is also used to make DHA out of EPA.

Most people have less than optimal delta-6 activity to start with.

Diabetics cannot synthesis the criti-cal delta-6-desaturatse. By taking

aspirin regularly and other NSAIDS, you may have temporarily stepped into

the shoes of a diabetic and inherited the many problems common to diabetics.

NSAID's causes intestional bleeding by blocking messenger molecules called

prostaglandins. Some pros-taglandins cause inflammation and pain. Others

stimulate healing and repair. NSAIDS blocks both kinds. The intestional

lining is renewed about every 3 days. Blocking the repair process results

in a gut that is weak, inflamed and leaky.

HRT (hormone replacement therapy) depletes the body of vitamin B-6 and

magnesium. A depletion of vitamin B-6 causes your homocysteine level to

increase. Homocysteine is an amino acid, if elevated in the blood, will

increase risk of heart disease. You need vitamin B-6, vitamin B-12 and

folic acid in order to lower your homocysteine level.

So if you're depleted of vitamin B-6, immediately your risk of heart

disease is going to go up. That's number one. Number two is HRT depletes

the body of magnesium. Some drugs prescribed as anti-acids block both Folic

Acid and B-12. Without adequate Folic Acid and B-12, a steady decline in

blood cell production follows.

By the way, magnesium is the number one mineral deficiency in this country.

About 75 to 80 percent of people in this country are deficient in

magnesium. This contributes to sleep problems, blood pressure and

cardiovascular problems. The first role of magnesium is in the maintenance

of blood pressure and cardiovascular function. The other is in the bones,

which is another area HRT was purported to help in.

What does magnesium have to do with the bones? Calcium and magnesium work

together; and magnesium, along with vitamin D, helps transport calcium into

bones. So now you have no effect on osteoporosis, which HRT was supposed to

help. We've been given this data for a long time. HRT is not going to work

the way they were saying, unless you replenish the B-6 and magnesium.

Many case histories and examples exist that show nutrient depletion causes

serious illness and the results can be lifelong illness. Other studies

suggest that massive body chemistry imbalance; caused by drugs, result in

immune system failure and death.

Recently, while researching " flesh eating bacteria " , I came across one

study that was startling. This is the same type bacteria that killed Jim

Henson, the creator of the Muppets. This bacteria can dissolve muscles and

skin, leading to amputations. Death will result if treatment is delayed, or

the amputation of the infected part is delayed.

The latest research shows that this supposedly new disease may be caused by

taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofin, Aspirin,

Motrin and Tolectin when you are infected with a beta strep germ.

One study shows that 5 of 7 cases of flesh-eating bacteria occurred in

people who took these pain medicines. White blood cells called macrophages

produce a chemical called " tumor necrosis factor " , which trav-els to your

brain and causes your body to produce prostaglandins that cause fever and

shut off tumor necrosis factor.

Aspirin and nonsteroidal anti inflammatory drugs block the production of

prostaglandins, causing the white blood cells to keep on producing tumor

necrosis factor. This allows the bacteria to spread through the body,

dissolve tissue and even cause shock and death.

There are progressive warning signals that tell you that you could have an

infection with a flesh-eating bacteria. First, you develop a sore throat or

you cut or bruise your skin or stick yourself with a thorn or splinter.

Usually the pain of a throat infection or a wound lessens with time.

Progressively increasing severe pain is a signal that you have a serious

infection. Contact a doctor immediately if you develop severe pain, a

fever, a red streak starts to extend toward your heart or your lymph nodes

start to swell and hurt.

The flesh eating beta strep bacteria can be cured readily if you take

antibiotics early enough and avoid taking aspirin or any pain medications.

At least take a good multivitamin if you're on a prescription medicine. The

real question is what drugs deplete which nutrient. That information is not

always easy to find. But simply stated, if you're on a statin drug take

coenzyme Q10. If you're on any other prescription medicine take a good

multivitamin.

We know drug usage is not going to disappear. If we realize that the

hazards often outweigh the benefits, we may be able to avoid unnecessary

drug usage. Study the side effects of any drug you must take. A boost of

vitamin intake can lessen the damage to normal body processes and the

immune system.
