Guest guest
Daniela, I'm not Heather, but am curious about this also. What about for asthma? Would it be good for that? ~~~Shelley~~~ Hi Shelley, Mullein can be used in cases of asthma. Asthma essentially is an allergic reaction of the body. The cause can be pollen, dust, animal hair, emotional stress or a whole host of other reasons. If there is an acute attack a cup of Elder flower or Elderberry Tea with 1/2 tsp of Lobelia extract will help relax the lung muscles. You can also use Ma Huang to relax bronchial muscles but be careful if the person has heart problems. Ma Huang may increase blood pressure which is not good in heart disease. The important part is to get rid of asthma for good. To achieve this one has to look at the person's diet. To start, eliminate all mucus forming foods. Go on a cleansing diet (I can give you some hints). Use following supplements: Vitamins A, B complex and C that will look after the lungs, nervous system and stress. Calcium to relax and help rebuild nerves, and Potassium to inhibit mucus production. I hope you do not mind my going off on a tangent here. It does relate to asthma though. All the Best for the Holidays and in the New Year. Daniela
