Guest guest
Good Morning Suz! I too have diabetes and peripheral neuropathy, but have been steadily imporving my health. herbs for your heart include: garlic (as much as you can take, raw, in salads, I chop it up fine, and swallow a bit on a teaspoon with tomato juice or broth, or blenderize it into tomato juice) hot peppers, doesn't matter if cooked or raw. Blenderize in tomato juice, eat salsa, use tobasco sauce liberally, it gets your circulation moving. hawthorne berries..good caridac tonic CoQ10 and B vitamins, and potassium, calcium, magnesium, and zinc are all important for your heart herbs for diabetes include gymnema sylvestre, cinnamon, bitter melon, stevia. Stevia is also a sugar free sweetner. Also, I don't know how your diet is, but breads, potatoes, and many carbohydrates are high on the glycemic index, raise insulin levels. Try the " white " diet...no white sugar, no white milk (not even chocolate...it starts out as white milk), no mayonaisse, no white flour or anything made from it, no white rice, no white potatoes, etc. Just lots of veggies and some fruits. Raw is best, or lightly steamed. Cut back on meat. Take milk thistle and/or schisandra berries for your liver. The liver is the filter for the body. If it isn't healthy, neither are you. I am still trying various nervines for peripheral neuropathy. hops, passionflower, valerian, kava kava, st john's wort, lobelia. I have some good days, and some bad days, where the pain is so terrible, I can't walk. hope this helps. you can email me privately if you wish. windflower windflowersong Suzanne Watson <suz2 wrote: Hi everyone Let me first introduce myself, my name is suz and im 45 and in serious jepordy of my health. Im now classified as pallitive care and i need some help to get off these pills and to start healing properly. That is the first reason why i started reading on herbs and aromatherapy. But now its moreso that i enjoy it. But im still looking for the miracle cure. Which i know is impossible. I have a serious heart condition with diabeties, hardening of the ateries, Ischemic, congestive heart failure, nureopathy and that is just a few. I know that some of the herbs can help me i know they can. Just as some of the oils have done already. But how do you convince a dr who is just as scared as i am to let me try doing this. The only thing i can think of to do is stop seeing him and just do it totally on my own. I am asking for your opinions and also your help to maybe making some tinctures or salves and such to start the healing process for me, i know it is going to be hard and a long time coming before i will notice a difference. I take insulin whenever and that usually now is never. But i see that some herbs will keep my sugars down. I dont understand how sugars can be up in the 30's when u dont consume enuf for a bird. But they are, they say im a uncontrollable diabetic. Geesh lol what else is new. So please tell me your opinions and where to start. I guess to start would be to clean everything out and get off all these pills slowly at a time. The first that would go would be the morphine i guess. Would you say not and what herb would i take in its place ginsing, cayenne, i cant think of the others right now. Ill go now and will stop babbling, thankyou and take care. God bless. suz New Photos - easier uploading and sharing

Guest guest
Hi Suz, and welcome. I too have diabetes, peripheral neuropathy, and high blood pressure. For the diabetes, you can take gymnema sylvestre. You can buy it by the pound at www.herbalcom.com They say cinnamon helps lower blood sugar. 1/2 to 1 tsp a day. Add it to herbal tea. Bitter melon (fu gua) is good for diabetes, but sometimes hard to find. Some oriental food markets carry it. If you can, order some seeds and grow it yourself. Also, eat foods low on the glycemic index. White bread, potatoes, etc. raise blood glucose levels just as rapidly as sugar can. Try the " white diet " NO white bread, No white rice, No white potatoes, No mayonaise, No popcorn or corn, Nothing made from white refined flour, no noodles, no sugar, all these things are high on the glycemic index. Eat small meals (preferably raw veggies and fruits) during the day to keep blood sugar levels constant, no ups and downs. I don't have any cures for the neuropathy. I've been told that turmeric helps to re-myelinate the nerve sheaths, and I have started taking it, but have seen no change yet. For your heart, hawthorne berries, cayenne, and garlic. Lots of it..raw. I blenderize garlic and hot pepper(s) with tomato juice with a dash of worcestershire sauce and lemon juice. (a small onion or some onion powder is good in it too. I also add the turmeric to this " coctail " ) Add 1/4 to 1/3 cup of water to it to thin it down, as the garlic and peppers make it thick. Hope this helps a bit, windflower Suzanne Watson <suz2 wrote: Let me first introduce myself, my name is suz and im 45 and in serious jepordy of my health. I have heard that Omega oils do this, too. ~~~Shelley~~~ - windflower song Tuesday, December 30, 2003 2:20 AM Re: New To Site and a Few Questions Hi Suz, and welcome.
