Guest guest
Ok Folks Listen Up The vast majority of Coq10 out there is the Synthetic vatiety. Coq10 has " trans " and " cis " forms. I would hope by now that we know to avoid " Trans Fats " which takes decades to accumulate in the body and cause little things like heart infarction, plugged arteries and other niceties. The first indications that something is wrong with the Coq10 picture is the 'trans' vs. 'cis' comparison found at: http://www.iherb.com/coq3001.html " ( CoQ 10 exists in the " trans " form and the " cis " form. In the human body, only the trans form is found. As far as the human body is concerned, the cis form is considered to be an impurity. The natural form, produced by fermentation and extraction from microorganisms, only produces the trans form. The synthetic form produces both the trans and the cis forms. Further processing attempts to remove the cis form, but, inevitably, some is found in the finished product. Since the human body is unable to utilize the cis form, to purchase and consume synthetically produced CoQ 10 is not only a waste of money, but may produce unwanted effects in the body.) " WHAT DO THEY MEAN " Unwanted effects " = Heart Attacks? What are long term effects? No one knows - Yet! I totally believe putting a synthetic compound into your body is asking for trouble - Especially when your body will produce what is needed when you exercise!!!! Coq10 has only been out about 10 years and has been EXTREMELY HYPED!!! Remember the HYPE on How Healthy Hydrogenated oil is for you " HEART HEALTHY " ?? I do! They also own a vast amount of the supplement makers and soon to control the rest. " If this ever becomes a reality, I do not wish to be around to see it!! I would seriously doubt that it ever becomes reality! There is a small segment that is owned by the Pharma Cartel, however there are many more natural sources to be found as well! If you're not aware of them, I would be happy to direct you to them!! Although there may be some truth in what you're saying, the very fact that you denounce the majority of vitamins as unnatural and synthetic implies that you are not seeking more natural solutions. As for getting all your vitamins and minerals directly from our foods supply…. to make a bold statement like that, I'm assuming that you are not aware of just how perverted our food supply really is!! I would guess that the average person derives more synthetic additives from their foods supply than they could ever get from supplements, even synthetic ones! You sound very convincing, however although you seem to have all the the " proof " that one can get all the coq10 they need from other sources, everything I've experienced has been to the contrary!. If it had not been for coq10 specifically and several other select supplements, I certainly would not be here today sitting here in front of this computer writing to you!! To be sure, we all try to get our supplements from the very best sources available, however as you say, because big Pharma is subtly getting their hands on the very sources of many mainstram supplements it is becoming increasingly more difficult to obtain Natural supplements. Vitamin C, for instance they say, (this is not my opinion) comes from genetically engineered cornstarch (ge corn), so we must be aware of our sources and know them well! Vitamin E, some of it, they say, typically is derived from Soy lecithin, which is also from a geneticially engineered source, unless it specifies that its definitely from a non-gmo source on the container. Coq10, some of it, is from soybean oil and we all know(?) that soybean oil is one of the worst oils on the market (high in omega- 6s, fully refined, and very unhealthy)!! This just confirms that well known fact that all supplements are NOT created equal and manufacturers will cut corners at the expense of the lowly consumer. The profit motive is strong and there are few who really strive to provide us with high quality supplements. I did my homework well and obtained the highest quality supplements available to my knowledge (my life depended on it!). This was a result of many agonizing hours of researching, listening, and watching various experts in the field of natural healing. To discourage anyone from taknig coq10 with the surge of heart disease that exists in our country at the moment( it is the number one killer), is like withdrawing a rope from a drowning person!!. If it were not for a sublingual form of coq10 I took in the early days of my convalescence I seriously doubt that I would be here today!! The fact remains that it works! No one no matter how much " proof " they have no one can ever convince me otherwise (experience is the best teacher)! Excuse me….Coq10 cannot be made from B vitamins! There is no proof of this. I have taken B vitamins for years and I inevitably ended up with serious heart problems from my diet (transfats!!) It was the transfats in my diet that " CAUSED " my heart attack and the coq10 that helped me recover and to equate both of them in the same breath as rampant in transfats is the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard! I certainly didn't expect to read anything like that on THIS forum!!! That sounds as if it comes directly from BIG PHARMA!
