Guest guest Posted December 12, 2003 Report Share Posted December 12, 2003 LA Times Reveals: NIH Colluding With Pharmaceutical Industry This meticulously researched article in the LA Times may have come as a shock and surprise to many, but certainly not to you who are aware of the Government suppression of Alternative Medicine. At this time it is perfectly legal for NIH (National Institutes of Health) employees to accept consulting jobs from the very companies they are supposed to monitor. Some garnered over $1,000,000 in the past decade in consulting fees. While you and I are very likely to get the impression that the conflict of interest could not be more obvious, Dr. Ruth L. Kirschstein, who as the deputy director or the acting director of the NIH since 1993 has approved many of the top officials' consulting arrangements, said she " did not believe they had compromised the public interest " .
