I sure could use some words of advice for a horrible itchy rash I

have which encompasses my entire torso. I look scalded and itch

uncontrollably. It began over three weeks ago on my stomach and has

spread daily. It is not an allergy to food or contact substances,

not mites either.

Four months ago I adopted the Eat Right for Blood Type diet. For

these sixteen weeks my diet has consisted of ONLY buffalo, salmon,

broccoli, okra, spinach, eggs, flaxseed oil, multivitamins, and 6

qts of water each day.

Ten days ago I dropped out the eggs and vits, thinking allergy. No

change. For 3 days at Thanksgiving I ate lightly of many different

foods. No change. Two days ago I began a water fast. Noticable

change - spread farther quickly and got much redder.

Other than the itching, I feel really GOOD. I am female,63. I will

try or do anything that might get this condition reversed. I hope

someone can help. Please write me directly. honiholo

Thanks, Pat in WI

Hi Pat,

Here is some info you may find helpful.

Melissa (Lemon Balm)- Folk healers in the Middle Ages considered

melissa (Melissa officinalis)something of a cure-all, relying on it

for everything to rashes to insect bites. Sedative, spasm-reducing

(spasmolytic), and anti-bacterial properties abound in this fragrant

herb. A compress soaked in the concentrated, cooled tea makes a

comforting healing dressing. As an astringent, the tea applied

topically probably promotes healing in rashes by tightening the skin.

Specifically, melissa may help to:

Treat rashes and shingles: Clinical trials indicate that

substances in melissa's volatile oils make this herb a promising

remedy for treating rashes and cold sores, the painful lip lesions

caused by the herpes simplex (type 1) virus.

Melissa has been shown to speed healing of lesions, especially

when taken at the first signs of an outbreak.

Topical formulations of melissa have been recommended for

treating rashes.

--To be effective for fighting rashes and lesions caused you need to

use a cream-based product containing a concentrated extract of

melissa.

In Germany, the melissa rash cream/ointment is sold under the

name 'Lomaherpan';

in the United States it can be found under various names, such as

" Herpalieve " and " Herpilyn " .

Hello Pat,

You did not clearly state just how long you have had this rash. A

healing reaction should not be repressed. If you can endure it

continue with the rash until it resolves on its own. Homeopathic

treatment is your best bet not to repress but to set in order

whatever cellular problem that is causing a rash. Remember, your skin

is your largest organ of elimination and you may think of things that

you have done in the past to repress a disease of the skin that is

behind this current rash.

(also, are you sure that you have not incorporated something new into

your diet that you may be allergic to?)

It is very difficult to recommend a homeopathic remedy without seeing

and talking to you but I will try. Uritica Urens 30 or 200c for a few

days may be of help. Find a homoepath. There are many remedies that

will eliminate a rash quickly but likely only someone with a little

skill will be able to find it for you.

Best,

Arrow
