You really must ensure that the wound is kept very clean and I would

recommend regularly cleaning with Tea Tree Oil to prevent getting infection.

You really must take a very good strong multi vitamin and additional vit c to

counteract the affects of the antibiotics.

I am sure others will give additional advice but that is the best I can do

for you. I wish you very good health and recovery from this.

You might want to look into homeopathic remedies for the bite. Ledum comes

to mind as one to try. Arnica for pain would be one I would also be taking.

For day to day little things and a good emergency book for people and

animals " Everybody's Guide to Homeopathic Medicines " by Stephen Cummings, MC

and Dana Ullman, MPH coupled with a little 30C kit with Arnica 200C you will

be able to help quite a lot of illnesses.

http://www.abchomeopathy.com/go.php put in symptoms and get a remedy, but do

check with Materia Medica how good a match it is. Do not assume this

program is right.

http://www.vitalforce.org/repertory.html good repertory to match symptoms

with suggestions to look up in Materia Medica.

http://www.simillimum.com - click on 'First Aid Room Gives you a quick run

down of the remedies to read (you need a good Materia Medica or keynotes.

For books I suggest www.minimum.com With your first order they give you

this extensive catalogue and I bought a lot of books, more than on my school

list of books.

A Canadian company in BC that is selling Phytopia Homeopathic Remedy Kits.

Free Shipping on orders over $125.00

Their Pharmacy kit contains 48 remedies, all of which were identified in

class as 'must haves' for acute prescribing. The kit comes in a handy

travel case, with 'cheat cards'. http://phytopia.biz/HomeopathyKits.html

http://www.homeopathyovernight.com/fcatalog.html if you really need it over

night (though that service costs more)

If I get a bad sore I have been putting raw honey on the dressing and eating

a lot of raw Garlic.

There are a number of success anecdotes about both of these, also During WWI

garlic was placed on the wounds.
