Guest guest
I have Fatty Liver Disease and am taking herbs to help (Milk Thistle). One herb that I am desperately wanting to take is Poke Root. The main reason is that I LOVE POKE SALAD. I live in East TX. Every year, I'll pick poke salad in the spring... boil 2-3 times... and enjoy the best greens in the world. There is something about Poke Salad that lifts my metabolism, cleans my system... and gives me uplifting energy. The down-side is that poke salad grows (wild) only once per year (spring), and you cannot find it canned. The Poke Root is a powder herb that is made from the Poke Salad plant. If I can use that... it would be a blessing. Does anybody know how to use that herb? Do you have to boil it, or can you just put the powder on a salad? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks, Laura
