Guest guest
http://www.mindfreedom.org/mindfreedom/ioc/scan.shtml New Brain Scan Studies Show: Major Psychiatric Drugs Can Change Size and Shape of Brain This area explores the many ways that prevailing psychiatric " treatments " can cause brain damage. The neuroleptics are one of the main families of psychiatric drugs, and one the most typical psychiatric drugs to be administered during involuntary procedures. These " major tranquilizers " or " anti-psychotics " include trade names such as Thorazine (also called Largactil), Haldol, Mellaril, Navane, Prolixin, Clozapine, Risperdal, Zyprexa, etc. Support Coalition is pro-choice about psychiatric drugs, and many of our members choose to take neuroleptics as prescribed. However, when it comes to the issue of involuntary administration of neuroleptics, great insight and wisdom can be displayed by those who " just say no. " A deluge of new medical studies this past decade proves that the neuroleptics can cause actual persistent structural changes to the brain. These changes to the size and shape of the brain can be so severe they are visible under brain scan. This same neuroleptic-induced brain damage can be replicated in animal studies. Fuller Torrey, one of the main proponents of forced psychiatry, admits that there is solid mainstream medical evidence for neuroleptic induced structural brain change. Of course, he adds a twist that perhaps this is the therapeutic effect... but the news is: The Debate Is Over. NEW WEB MESSAGE BOARDS - JOIN HERE.
