San Francisco spends $2,500,000 on a fluoridation facility

SFWATER.ORG : 10/14/03 Agenda SFPUC Commission

Staff Recommendation: Approve the plans and specifications for Contract No.

WD-2413, Sunol Valley Fluoridation Facility, and authorize the General Manager

of Public Utilities to advertise, receive and evaluate bids. The engineer?s

estimate is $2,500,000

and then sells fluoride free water on the side.

" Hetch Hetchy Mountain WaterTM is bottled in a convenient half-liter size. The

bottled water contains no additives and is micron-filtered and ozonated to

comply with state and federal regulations. "

Here the mayor and water department personnel drinking fluoride-free bottled

water while legislating that everyone else drink fluoride. (maybe this helps pay

for the fluoridation facility)
