Guest guest
While in severe pain I agreed to a gallbladder removal. Now if I ever get in this situation again I hope I will have the guts to ask for pain relief and then go on a search for alternative treatment. After losing my gall bladder there have been no outstanding problems. No way to know about the long range problems. Good Luck, Lorenzo I. Crawford [willow.myst] Friday, October 17, 2003 4:00 PM Gallbladder Problems Hi I'm brand new to this group, but not new to the holistic side of caring for one self. Here's my problem: I've been diagnosed by the traditional doctor as having a gallbladder that needs to come out. My symptoms are pain in the left to middle off and on. Sometimes more severe than others. I've been advised by a good friend to try a Liver Flush made out of virgin olive oil and fresh lemon juice. What is the opinion of you on this list as to if it would help? Thanks, Ilene
Guest guest
Hi IIene, I also suffer with gallstones and would never ever let them 'whip it out', as Lorenzo said, you just do not know long term effects. Some people are very lucky and never suffer any ill effects of having their gall bladder removed whilst others never have a healthy day thereafter. I once belonged to a group who dealt solely with doing the gall bladder / liver flush but had to leave as I could not cope with their very graphic details LOL. I would recommend that you do give it a try, it really cannot hurt, but do check the full details of the flush before you try it , I see that lots has been posted on gall stones so check them all out. If you have another 'attack' just get yourself some good organic unsweetened apple juice and drink lots of it, it will help to relax the gall bladder entrance so that the stone drops back down. If you can, drink that apple juice every day and please avoid ALL fats except organic extra virgin cold pressed olive oil, it does work and avoid red meat also, fat / cholesterol is the cause of all gall stones. I have not yet tried the flush purely because I cannot bring myself to drink that amount of olive oil just yet but if I had continued pain, I definitely would do it. Apologies for the delay in sending the reply but I have been away for a couple fo days. I hope this helps you.
