Lucas Brand Paw Paw Gel (if you are in Australia). The paw paw gel acts as

a synthetic flesh and allows the healing of fibres to take place deep in the

wound. Usually the skin heals first and the underlayers of tissue heal

second causing hard and lumpy scarring. I can personally vouch for paw paw

gel as I have had surgery where the wound was deep and fleshy, my scarring

is minimal and flat, hardly noticeable.

PS Paw paw gel is a natural disinfectant and will not harbour any bacteria

therefore is safe to use on open wounds.

All the best

Reducing scare tissue

Hello I am writing in to find out what people use to reduce scaring from

deep cuts and scrapes. Basicly i was doing some work on my sons bike and my

screw driver slipped and caused a deep and wide scrape along my for arm.

It didnt bleed much but it is wide and about a 1 inch long

thanks

Dimitri

Hi Dimitri,

An excellent healer for scars is a blend of rosehip oil mixed with 3%

helichrysum essential oil.
