A comparison of the USDA Eat Right Food Pyramid and the Eating for Health approach will be made to show the benefits of eating a diversified, whole food diet A nutritional analysis of the staples of the Standard American Diet will be provided in light of their implication as a health risk for children and adults. The health enhancing Eating for Health food plan will be introduced with resources for implementation in community and clinical settings. Research and protocols demonstrating the efficacy of nutrition to promote recovery from injury and chronic illness will be shared. Diet and nutritional support will be provided for fatigue, weight management, depression, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
