That's odd! I have an on and off, but serious problem with insomnia. I've

taken vitamins shortly before going to bed, and have never been able to

connect doing so with difficulty falling asleep. I've gone weeks when I

fell asleep without the slightest difficulty, in spite of taking many

vitamins soon before retiring. I rarely awaken in the middle of the night,

but when I do it's almost invariably because of my esophageal reflux

problem.

There may be supplement among the ones you take, that will produce some

irritation.

I usually take vitamins about 2 hours after I wake up (with

breakfast) & again about 4-6 hours before I go to bed (with last

meal). I sometimes have gotten insomnia when I eat my late night

snack (coconut milk these days) or a meal too close to bedtime,

either with or without vitamins. If my gut needs to be processing

stuff, I am more prone to be up moving around. But I have never had

problems with insomnia from taking vitamins 3-4 hours before bed or

earlier.
