Guest guest
QUEEN OF HUNGARY WATER This recipe was developed for the Queen of Hungary in 1370. It's a wonderful astringent for those with normal, oily, or problem skin, and it's especially good for people with itchy skin. It's touted as the first herbal product to be produced and marketed. It was used by the Gypsies for almost everything you can think of, from mouthwash to hair rinse to foot baths. This recipe is best made with fresh herbs. 5 tablespoons fresh lemon balm 4 tablespoons fresh roses 4 tablespoons fresh chamomile 3 tablespoons fresh calendula 3 tablespoons fresh comfrey 1 tablespoon fresh lemon peel 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary 8-10 ounces of apple cider vinegar To make: 1. Place all the fresh herbs in a 12-ounce (340gram) jar. Completely cover with vinegar. 2. Cover the jar and let sit in a warm spot for 4 weeks, shaking occasionally. 3. Strain the liquid. 4. If desired, combine with floral water of your choice. “If you are discouraged it is a sign of pride, because it shows you trust in your own powers. Never bother about other people's opinions. Be humble and you will never be disturbed. Remember St. Aloysius, who said he would continue to play billiards even if he knew he was going to die. Do you play well? Sleep well? Eat well? These are duties. Nothing is small for God.” ~ Mother Theresa20th century humanitarian -- Version: 7.1.375 / Virus Database: 268.2.0/276 - Release 3/7/2006
