Guest guest
Good Morning All! I have some great news to share and some advice to ask. First of all the good news....after 5 years, I am pregnant! I am sooooo excited to say the least. All conceptions are a miracle when you truly understand what the has to happen for women to concieve and with us it was a huge miracle. Sciencetifically (sp?)the only way I should have concieved was through IUI interception. And agaisnt popular advice and opinion we decided to go a more natural approach and recieved treatment through a wellness chiropactor who did some spinal manipulations as well as directed me threw a through liver detox cleanse and prescribed some supplements. I was with the reproductive gynocologist for 15 months and found out why I wasn't concieving yet no results, I started with the chiropactor in October and found out why I had the problem that cause me not to concieve and instead of " masking " the problem or going threw the trama of surgery again used alternative methods to get to the root of the cause of the problem. And now after 5 months I am pregnant! So I wanted to share that awesome new with you all! So hopefully I haven't lost you with my long winded speech of praise for my chiropactor, I have some adive to ask of the ppl on this list who have essential oil knowledge. I have a recipe of a product that is no longer available, it is a spray that you can use on your skin to help prevent stretch marks, keep the skin moisturized and you can also spray on the pernium in the last few weeks of pregnancy to prevent an apisiotomy (sp?). I have the ingredients but not the proportions. The product was called " Claraderm " by Living Oils (I know a lot of ppl have no respect or love for this company & I understand why- however, there are some products they make I love and this is one) Here is the ingreidents as they are listed in the description: Myrrh, Tea Tree, Lavender, Frankinsence, Roman Chamomile, & Helicrysum. Mixed in a base of Fractionated coconut oil. I hope you all can help me figure out how many drops of each oil I should use, or if you can direct me to a source that helps you figure out how to formulate recipes like this... Thanks in advance! ~Leesy

That is another story though and not relevant here. > > Here is the ingreidents as they are listed in the description: > > Myrrh, Tea Tree, Lavender, Frankinsence, Roman Chamomile, & > Helicrysum. Mixed in a base of Fractionated coconut oil. The formulation- the ingredients anyway are fine in this product. I'd personally use a nicer base oil that fractionated coconut- but you mentioned it was a spray and fractionated coconut works well in a spray and has a long shelf life. There are oils that are far superior (more therapeutic and natural) for the skin however. I use organic jojoba in a spray with no problem. If you want to reproduce this formula you can do so with high quality essential oils and base oils in safe proportions/ dilutions for the purpose. I would leave out the Frankincense, Myrrh, and the Tea Tree in this recipe (lol, ok I just totally changed the product and now it looks more like the one I make!) and use only a tiny bit of Helichrysum- if any btw. After birth you may want to make a sitz bath that contains some of these ingredients- (the Myrrh and Tea Tree). For a perineum massage oil the base oil is important and I would suggest a combination of Jojoba, Sweet Almond, and Avocado with a small amount of infused Calendula and for essential oils Lavender and Chamomile german. A spray is totally unneaded. A spritzer after birth is great but not with an oil base. Here is a possible formula that would work nicely and includes most of the same ingredients as you mentioned: 4 oz base oils (combine Sweet Almond, Jojoba, and Avocado- or use organic Virgin Coconut Creme or oil alone- very nice). 5 drops Lavender (Lavendula angustifolia) 4 drops Chamomile german 2 drops Tea Tree 2 drops Myrrh 2 drops Helichrysum 1 teaspoon infused Calendula Vitamin E If you use the Virgin Coconut it will solidify in cool temps and melt on your fingers. It's very nice. You could also make a balm with Virgin Coconut, Virgin Cocoa Butter, perhaps a bit of Shea Butter if you like and pure Beeswax. The essential oils are not such an important addition here honestly but if you like use the same rations as above- or use only Lavender, Geranium, and Chamomile or Lavender & Chamomile. > > I hope you all can help me figure out how many drops of each oil I > should use, or if you can direct me to a source that helps you figure > out how to formulate recipes like this... I'm happy to make the formula for you (nicer quality than what you would have gotten from the original product) and save you the cost of buying a bottle of each of the essential oils. Some of the oils are very costly if you buy each separately and use the highest quality.
