Guest guest
Natural Pest Repellents Want to work or play outside without mosquitoes, flies, gnats, or chiggers pestering the daylights out of you? Make your own lotion to rub on your skin before going out. Double strength mint vinegar is effective. Or try oils of pennyroyal, eucalyptus, and/or citronella in a almond oil or rubbing alcohol base, but not near eyes. To deter ants, rub spearmint oil around sink pipes. Household Insect Repellent Use essential oils such as sweet orange and lavender combined with borax as an effective carpet treatment for deterring fleas. 4 ounces water in a spray bottle 5 to 10 drops essential oil of eucalyptus, rose geranium, or tea tree Shake bottle as you spray. Don't spray around face and eyes. Eucalyptus and tea tree oils are not only insect repellents, but like lavender oil they can also be an effective antidote to bites and stings. http://www.wholeherb.com/HABPERS.HTM%0D%0A The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.~ Albert Einstein ~ -- Version: 7.1.375 / Virus Database: 267.15.6/257 - Release 2/10/2006
