Guest guest
Wintertime Potpourri 1/8 cup dried orange peel, cut-up (about 1/2 of a large orange) 1/8 cup broken cinnamon sticks (4 oz.) 1 Tbsp. whole cloves 1/8 cup whole allspice 1 Tbsp. anise 1/8 cup broken bay leaves pinch of cinnamon clove or orange oil (opt.) Cut the peel off an orange, and let dry overnight on paper towels or a wire rack. (You can substitute grated orange peel from a jar.) Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Store in airtight containers. Place some in a bowl in a warm place for aroma, or heat a small amount in a small pan or potpourri burner with a little water. This potpourri has a wonderful spicy, wintery aroma, and makes a nice gift.
