Easy Bath Salts

Ingredients:

1 part Epsom salt

2 parts Fine Grain Sea Salt

1/2 part Baking soda

Optional ingredients:

Rolled Oats, or powdered milk,

Fragrance:

Essential oil blends or Fragrance oils as desired Directions: Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl & mix well with a spatula . Add fragrance drop by drop and mix thoroughly. Pour into a glass container. It is best to use a desiccant or Silica pack in each jar so the moisture does not make it harden. Use 1/2 cup per bath. Invigorating

Bath Salts

1/4 cup Epsom salts

1/4 cup coarse salt

3-5 drops green food coloring

3 drops Eucalyptus E.O.

3 drops Peppermint E.O.

2 drops Lavender E.O.

Mix well in medium bowl, pour into bath, relax & enjoy!

 

Bath Cookies

Drop two of these cookie tablets into a warm bath and relax. 2 cups finely ground sea salt 1/2 cup baking soda 1/2 cup cornstarch 2 tablespoons Sweet Almond Oil or Apricot Kernel Oil 1 teaspoon vitamin E oil 2 eggs 5-6 drops essential oil of your choice Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mix together the ingredients. Take a teaspoon of the dough and roll it gently into a ball ( about 1- inch in diameter ). Continue doing this with all the dough and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes, until they are lightly browned. Cool completely on cookie rack. Makes 24 cookies. Body Powder Base ingredients: 1 cup Cornstarch 1/2 cup Baking soda French Green Clay/Powder if desired Sprinkle the powder with the fragrance or essential oils of your choice, and let it stand a few days. Sift mixture in a flour sifter and put it in a powder container.

Facial Masques

Spread it on your face, let it dry for about 15 min. and rinse it off. Some suggested masks... For very oily skin: French Green Clay Moisten with Witch Hazel, and a few drops of Lemon Juice Ground oatmeal or cornmeal can be added for excellent exfoliating properties. For normal skin: French Green Clay Moisten with honey, mashed papaya and a few drops of water if needed. For dry skin: French Green Clay Moisten with mashed avocado, aloe vera and egg yolk.

Oatmeal Mask

1 Tbs. oatmeal powder (Blend Rolled Oats in the blender) egg white 2 drops of lemon essential oil Mix and spread on face. leave on until dry or 15 min.

 

 

Lemon Juice & Egg White Mask

Beat the white of one egg and a few drops of lemon juice until stiff. Use hands to apply an even layer on your face. Leave the masque on until it feels stiff, then rinse off for deep cleaning. Baby Massage Oil 4 ounces of Apricot Kernel Oil 4 drops lavender essential oil 4 drops chamomile essential oil Pour the essential oils into the bottle you will dispense the massage oil from. Shake well to blend. Simple Massage Oil For a massage oil, take about 2 or 3 Tablespoons of Sweet Almond or Apricot Kernel Oil, and add to that 5 drops of vanilla or 3 drops of Lavender E.O. Dreamy Massage Oil 4 drops Clary Sage E.O 3 drops Ylang Ylang E.O 4 drops Sweet Orange E.O Add to & Mix well with 1/4 cup of Apricot Kernel or Sweet Almond Oil. Stretch Mark Secret 4 oz Pure Shea Butter (Unrefined) Don't add anything to it!! Use morning & evening! It's not greasy like Cocoa Butter, and a little bit goes a long way. 4 oz might last your entire pregnancy!!Nausea Relief Add 4-6 drops of Peppermint, Spearmint EO to small bowl of hot water & place on the floor in a safe place at the head of your bed. The aroma will waft up and help quell nausea while you sleep & rest! **You can also put 1 or 2 drops of Peppermint or Spearmint EO on your pillowcase if things are really bad!!!Monster Spray 12 drops chamomile E.O 12 drops lavender E.O 16oz water Mix in spray bottle and let your child spray it under the bed & in the closet before he goes to bed so the monsters will stay away!

Do It Yourself Scrub

1 part oil - Sweet Almond or Apricot Kernel 1 part abrasive - salt, ground oatmeal, or ground almonds 3 drops of E.O. of your choice. You may also add 1 part shower gel if desired. Mix well with a fork. Apply gently to skin and shower as usual.

Oatmeal and Almond Scrub

1/4 cup finely ground oatmeal

1/4 cup finely ground almonds

Stir well; place in clean dry container. To use place approx. 1 Tbs. of scrub in palm and add enough water to make a soft paste. Massage into skin. Rinse well.

Corn Meal and Oat Face Scrub

1/2 cup oat flour

1/2 cup corn flour

1/3 cup whole milk powder

1/2 cup corn meal

sift the dry ingredients together

Mix with water to get a thick paste and smooth on, splash off with water.

To make the mixture astringent use Witch Hazel. To make it soothing add Aloe Gel. To make it less drying for very dry skin add a few drops of Almond Oil and mix before adding final water.

**Note - Use extra fine corn meal for face scrubs. Do not premix with wet ingredients as this mixture will not keep if wet. Pineapple-Cornmeal Face Scrub Mix a half cup of any type cornmeal with one tablespoon of pineapple juice. Double this if you like, but use it all. Using your fingertips, take a few minutes to massage the mixture gently all over your face with circular motions. Relax for about 10 minutes, then rinse off with tepid-to-cool water. Use only natural, unsweetened, unprocessed juice. Keep any extra juice tightly capped & refrigerated. Fresh cut pineapple doesn't keep well in the fridge for long.

Honey Cornmeal Scrub

One of the best scrubs!

2 ingredients: honey and ground blue corn meal. Add just enough honey to give moisture. Warm it in the microwave! It smells so good and the corn meal has just the right amount of abrasiveness.

Salt Scrub

1 1/4 cup sea salt

1/4 cup sweet almond oil

1/8 cup liquid hand soap

5 Vitamin E capsules

5 ml. peppermint E.O.

5 ml lavender E.O.

5 ml rosemary E.O.

Mix & keep in a wide-mouthed glass jar.

Add more salt if you like a scrubbier scrub!

Milk & Honey Oatmeal Scrub

2 T finely powdered whole milk (Take out any lumps!) 2 T finely ground oatmeal 2 T powdered honey 1 vitamin e capsules In coffee grinder, blend oatmeal and contents of the vitamin e capsule till finely blended. Add the finely powdered whole milk and powdered honey. Mix all ingredients for 10 seconds. When ready to use, take 1-2 T of the mix and add enough WARM water to make paste. A very fine and refreshing scrub. You can add Vanilla for fragrance.

Bug Repellent

2 ounces witch hazel extract

50 drops citronella essential oil

10 drops lavender essential oil

Preparation: Put 2 ounces of witch hazel into a lotion or spray bottle. Add 50 drops of citronella essential oil, and 10 drops of lavender essential oil. Shake well before each use.

LEMON BODY & FACIAL SPLASH

2 ounces witch hazel extract

5 drops lemon essential oil

Pour witch hazel and lemon essential oil into a bottle and shake well. Shake before each use.
