Guest guest
Make Your Own Anti-Dandruff Shampoo By Clair Saunders-Grant Apparently cypress is quite effective in treating dandruff, but as I don't like the smell particularly, I added a few other ingredients to make it more interesting. 50 g (3.5 tbs) soapflakes or grated pure soap 500 mls (17 ounces) spring water Heat the water and add the soap, stirring until melted. Pour into containers to cool. The mixture will keep for ages but may go a bit lumpy. If it does, just stir it to make it smooth again. To 10 mls (2 tsp) of shampoo mixture (above) or baby shampoo, add 1 drop of orange essential oil, 3 drops of cypress essential oil, and 1 drop of sandalwood essential oil. Mix well before shampooing into hair. Alternatively mix the essential oils into 9 mls (1.8 tsp) of sweet almond oil and 1 ml (.2 tsp) of jojoba or olive oil. Dip fingers into mixture and massage into scalp for 5 minutes. Leave overnight and wash out in the morning.
