Note: See cds-1232 Japanese Shadow Box<http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/cr_paper_crafts_origami/article/0,,HGTV_3293_1397375,00.html> for more information about folding the origami kimono.

3. Apply scraps of silver clay onto kimono with paste clay using a paint brush (figure H).

4. Use a paint brush to apply paste clay as adhesive to hold the folds together.

5. Make a small hole at top of kimono with needle tool for jump ring (figure I).

6. Allow to air dry. Note: Excessive heat will crack the paper type clay. After completely dry, smooth the edges with a file.

7. Set the kimono pendant on fiber blanket. Fire in cold kiln to 1472 F degrees for 30 minutes. Allow to cool naturally.

8. With the stainless steel brush, gently remove the white coating. Continue brushing until a satin finish is achieved.

9. Place pendant on rubber block and burnish with agate or other burnishing tool to a high sheen or highlight any raised areas as desired (figure J).

10. Place jump ring in hole with pliers. Use a sterling necklace to hold the kimono pendant (figure K).
