Apply scraps of silver clay onto kimono with paste clay using a paint brush (figure H). 4. Use a paint brush to apply paste clay as adhesive to hold the folds together. 5. Make a small hole at top of kimono with needle tool for jump ring (figure I). 6. Allow to air dry. Note: Excessive heat will crack the paper type clay. After completely dry, smooth the edges with a file. 7. Set the kimono pendant on fiber blanket. Fire in cold kiln to 1472 F degrees for 30 minutes. Allow to cool naturally. 8. With the stainless steel brush, gently remove the white coating. Continue brushing until a satin finish is achieved. 9. Place pendant on rubber block and burnish with agate or other burnishing tool to a high sheen or highlight any raised areas as desired (figure J). 10. Place jump ring in hole with pliers. Use a sterling necklace to hold the kimono pendant (figure K). -- RESOURCES: art clay silver and tools Art Clay World Oak Lawn, IL Phone: 708-857-8800 Toll-free: 866-381-0100 E-mail: info<info Website: www.artclayworld.com<http://www.artclayworld.com/> Electrical Silver Clay Kiln, Paragon SC-2 Art Clay World Oak Lawn, IL Phone: 708-857-8800 Toll-free: 866-381-0100 E-mail: info<info Website: www.artclayworld.com<http://www.artclayworld.com/> -- GUESTS: Emi Fukushima Artist, Creations by Emi E-mail: ecreations<ecreations Website: creationsbyemi.com<http://creationsbyemi.com/> http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/cr_accessories_jewelry/article/0,1789,HGTV_3225_3894207,00.html<http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/cr_accessories_jewelry/article/0,1789,HGTV_3225_3894207,00.html> "A clean house is a sign of a misspent life" -- Version: 7.1.362 / Virus Database: 267.12.8/161 - Release 11/3/2005
