Guest guest
My daughters have suffered with cold sores since they were very young. I found taking L-Lysine everyday stopped the breakouts. WELL, we have been very busy here the past few weeks preparing for cheerleading competition and I have forgotten to give the supplement to them. Of course they are also a little stressed and that seems to cause outbreaks. I am sorry for rambling, my question is does anyone know of a natural remedy for cold sores? They are really painfull for he and she is also worried that they will be big and ugly on competition day which is this Saturday. Hopefully someone has a remedy that involves kitchen ingredients. I cannot afford essential oils, as much as the things I read about them here are fascinating. Thanks in advance if anyone can help me. Guest guest
I know this sounds alittle different, and I dont know how " natural " it is.......but I had read awhile back that toothpaste works. I also tend to get coldsore's so I tried it. It does sting alittle if the coldsore is open but if she can put it on several times aday and let it dry (I usually do it three to four times aday for an hour or so) it really does help dry them up. Ive also heard that lysterine will help too, Ive not tried that........I use cologate white toothpaste and have had success with that.......
