Grow the plants near the doors of a house either in ground or pots. Also put essential oil on cotton balls and place around the doors. Spray the oils along shelves where the ants are seen, and on their nests. Essential Oils... Spearmint, Peppermint, Pennyroyal, Garlic, Citronella Black Fly....Plants or Tea are Stinging nettle, basil, lavender. Essential oils are... Lavender, Tagetes, Tansy Fleas...Plants or Tea are Lavender, mint.Essential oils are Lemongrass, Citronella, Pennyroyal, Rue, Tansy, Lavender Greenfly...Plant or Tea are GarlicEssential oils are Lavender, Tagetes, Tansy To make a tea use 1 cup dried or fresh herb or flower to 2 cups water. Boil the water, pour over the herb leave to stand for at least four hours over night is best. Strain off the liquid and store. Use 2 tablespoonful of this tea diluted in 1 gallon of water in a watering can or garden spray. To use essential oils add 8 drops of essential oil to 2-1/2 cups water, Boil and leave to cool. Use 2 tablespoonful to 1 gallon of water in the usual watering methods.
