Guest guest
Ok we did the mayo thing last night. I did my hair, my sons and my daughters. We had fun spreading it in each others hair and laughing at each other saying mmmmmmmm smells good anyone got any tuna. We had to keep kicking the cat off our laps because he wanted to lick it off our heads. lol we sure had fun. My son was the first one to wash it out. I combed combed and combed again with the nit brush. It worked for him. I was pulling out dead bodies. I didnt see many eggs on him and the ones I did see I got out with the comb. My daughter was next. It worked for her somewhat, all the big flies came out and some small ones too but those dam eggs stayied. I wanted to comb more but it was getting late and she was tired and falling asleep in the chair. The nit comb seems to big my daughter has very fine hair and I might need to head to the store to find a smaller comb. I recombed her hair this morning to see who it would work, some came out but alot stayied in. Her hair has never been this soft before!! I was last. Even though I found two adult lice in my hair the other day and have been scratching like crazy we did not pull one dead or alive body out of my hair. My husband combed my hair with the nit comb for about an hour. My son said he was still itching this morning but I looked and didnt see anything. I saw his scalp was dry and told him it might be that but if he wanted the mayo treatment again I would do it. We are doing a fair this weekend so we are planning on bombing our house one of those days. We need to do this anyway because this time of year we always get roaches coming up from our downstairs neighbor.

Guest guest
PS some of the residual itching maybe do to the sores from scratching previously!! Or as we call it the Heee Beeee Geee Beeee's!! So do you best not too scratch too much cause you can get infection in the sore. I have three children and have been in this situations a number of times, even as a young child!!! I think it is awsome that you made a ccame out of putting the mayo on it makes the kids look forward to it, rather than dred it!! Stay strong it will go soon. Sincerely, Marie , MomCalzMeNikki <momcalzmenikki@v...> wrote: > Ok we did the mayo thing last night. I did my hair, my sons and my daughters. Guest guest
Thanks you all for the great info. I did end up going to our local Brooks and picked up a finer comb. It was made for thin hair like my daughters. It was the more exspensive one but it came with two combs. One for fine hair one for regular hair, a maginfin glass right on the comb, plastic tweesters and a brush to clean it out. I used it on my daughter and it did get more eggs out but alot stayed behind. I think I am going to try the tea tree oil thing. I just bought a bottle. I wish I could change the policey in the school system but it has been that what since I was small and it doesnt look like it will ever change. Changing things here in the schools is such a pain. About 100 of us parents tried to get the kids to be let inside during the winter when it was below 35 degress. Because the kids are in kindegarden they are in another part of a building and the doors are on the outside of the school. There was no shelter for the kids and they could only go in when it was 8:00am or if I teacher got there sooner. So us parents took the steps to do something about it. Got everyone to sign papers, brought them to the principal and meet her. She told us sorry but we cant help you the school day starts at 8:15 pm and if it is cold outside you need to bring your child later than you do. She said we could do it ourselves but would need to go threw the school program to be checked out. Well I decided to call the school board and they said the same thing. Sorry but we cant help you. I felt like I was getting the run around and so where the other parents. We all got, sorry but you need to bring your child later so they dont stand out in the cold. grrrrrrrr I hate this place!! Yes my kids sure did have fun making it out of a game. It keeps my daughters spirts up. I must say this, since the mayo treatment she doesnt scratch much. Maybe once of twice and that is a big differance from before. I think I have sympothy itching for my daughter. lol I do have dry scalp but it was never this bad before. Going to try tea tree oil on me too. Will let my daughter help me make to use on her , she just loves to help mom out making things.
