Guest guest
Basic Body Butter More Natural Therapies Solutions by Annie Berthold-Bond, Care2.com Producer, Green Living Channels Massage therapists I have talked to love coconut oil for massage, because it melts on contact with the skin, leaves a protective barrier on the skin, has a slight lathering ability, and easily washes out of towels. Other oils stain, and towels become odorous after a while. Here are some great variations of this tried and true formula: COCONUT OIL Simple scoop coconut oil on your hand. BODY BUTTER ½ cup coconut oil ¼ cup cocoa butter Soften the coconut oil and cocoa butter in a double boiler over medium heat. Remove from the heat and blend, adding a few drops of optional essential oils. AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE OIL Use 5 drops of essential oil - or less - per ounce of coconut oil. -- Diana Gonzalez Nothing wastes more energy than worrying - the longer a problem is carried, the heavier it gets.
