Eat Chocolate for Your Heart

 

 

 

 

 

Getting a daily helping of chocolate may be one of the sweetest ways to help your heart. Research shows that eating foods that are rich in catechin antioxidants, such as dark chocolate, may lower your risk of ischemic heart disease. To keep saturated fat intake low, however, limit yourself to one piece of dark chocolate per day and supplement with other catechin-rich foods that are low in fat, such as apples and tea.
