Guest guest
Hello Stacy and Diana, Many thanks for the coakroach advice...Ill be sure to start using your ideas this week, my apartment will be smelling nice and minty. The only thing is that I think they come no matter if there is food or not. Because the exterminator came and sprayed out the kitchen, bathroom and living room, and before a cleaner made sure everything was spic and span. I'm not really a messy person anyway... The exterminator had year-long guarantee, and said they would never return again, but like I said they returned right after he sprayed the place, are they immune to the chemicals or what? Perhaps they are super-coakroaches... I keep my kitchen very clean, I constantly wipe off the counters and sink, and food is always tucked away, so I hope the mint and bleach trick works... One of the things they do here is to putstoppers in all the sinks etc when not in use. My SIL puts a little bleachdown each of her drains around March ... just before they spray the washesand treat the sewers ... which I guess cause the Roaches to come up to getaway from it. My SIL says that the Bleach keeps them from coming up herdrains for up to 6 months. I haven't had to deal with it yet, but I surehope it works ... Roaches give me the creeps and I've led a fairly shelteredlife when it comes to them. I had them once (small ones compared to a lot ofareas) when we moved into an apartment in Federal Way, WA ... but I thinkthey were coming from next door.Stacy in AZ"The grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for."-Allan K. What withthe underground subways and all. So here's what I do.The best thing to do about cockroaches, is to get combat forcockroaches. It really works! Put it everywhere you see them. It willtake a good month for this to work, remember. Also, you have to sweep the floors, and mop more often than the usualperson-about 2x a week. When you mop, just use a bit of dishwashingliquid, some vineger, and some essential oils of tea tree and mint. The minty scent will keep the critters away. What else....Oh! You CANNOT leave food out at all.Do not leaveanything opened in your pantry. Put it in a container. Flour goes inthe freezer. If this doesn't work within a month, get the raid brand foggers. Thatreally works. But it's a hassle because you have to leave everythingout on the table, and have your gas shut off. But they do die. Try to do a massive cleaning of your apartment with plenty of vinegerand mint essential oils. Vinegar kills germs and so does mint and teatree essential oils.Remember to keep your place clean and neat, as cockroaches love a mess(if you've ever seen the movie Joe's Apartment you understand).______________________ All your favorites on one personal page – Try My
