Guest guest
I am in the process of going caffine free - I need help bad!!! I have been weaning myself off my Mtn dew addiction, I'm at the one can a day, but I need to go off completely. How can I deal with the withdrawal symptoms of headache, tiredness, and grouchy, my family says I'm short & crabby!! I'm really trying hard, but I can't seem to get this one can out of my life. I've been drinking lots of water (forcing myself), koolaid, crystal light (sparingly, the artificial sweetner triggers migraines sometimes), fruit juice ( but calories here).... Any suggestions wuld be welcome Mary
Guest guest
Sounds like you are doing very well. Speaking as a former java junkie I can sympathize with you! But the only way I quit was to go cold turkey. I tried to slow down with regular tea but that didn't last and I was back at the coffee pot. Then I couldn't even touch caffeine for about a year before I could even stand to drink decaf coffee. If I did, it only made me angry (because it wasn't what I wanted) then I set myself up for serious cravings. Yes, I suffered from a day or two of headaches but then I felt better and had to start listening to my body. That meant, eat properly, get enough sleep and not rely on caffeine and sugar to get me through. My doctor gave me the kick in the rear to get started and she about went through the roof when she found out I was drinking at least 2 pots a day. LOL You can do it! You've got my support, Mary. Just give friends and family fair warning. ;-) Hugs, Marvel On Wed, 09 Feb 2005 00:04:58 +0000, snowflakesoaps <snowflakesoaps wrote: > > I am in the process of going caffine free - I need help bad!!!
