Guest guest
Do any of you here use Mineral Makeup? If so, how do you like it? I own a Mineral Makeup Company, Bella Lei, and I host a forum on another site for Mineral Makeup Retailers (almost all of us make our own products). If you have any questions about Mineral Makeup I would be more than happy to help you!! Christy

There are many different Mineral Makeup Companies out there, if you decide to look into be sure to check the ingredients! The basic ingredients are Titanium Dioxide, Serecite, Zinc, Iron Oxides and Mica. It is in powder form and it looks and feels more natural than " conventional Makeup " . I would say it's easy to make, but I'm in the middle of creating my foundations. I've pretty much got the TD/Serecite/Zinc ratios down, now I'm working on the pigment portion, or the " color " . I've made about 30 different foundation colors, 15 eyeshadow colors and a few blushes. The foundation is the heart of the makeup though and so once I get that done I'll be good to go! If you're interested in learning to make your own let me know and I'll get you pointed in the right direction! christy > > > > > > > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
Hi Christy, I've been using bare Escentuals for about two years and love it. It is a very soft, natural, vibrant, heaalthy look. Skin stays clearer. It is very easy to mix for the perfect shade day to day, the eyeshadows and blushes and other colours perform well - everything brelnds very nicely. One thing though, I find with my, ahem, mature skin, that I really need a moisturizer underneath on most days - it eill absorb oils very nicely. Most mineral foundations almost require a good moisturizer underneath. The titanium can be drying to the skin if you don't use moisturizer. I started out with BE, and it's a very good product. It did make me itch sometimes, which is the Bismuth in it, but oh, that Bismuth gives an awesome look to the makeup!! I'm working on a foundation that will have the benefits of the Bismuth without the itching! You're right, skin does stay clearer when using mineral makeup, there is nothing that will clog the pores! Another product I have found that I LOVE is the microdermabrasion cloth, it's amazing!!
