Merry Meet,

I really hate to be one of those people who points out the down side of

things but IUD's are frightening birth control devices!

A Cautionary Tale:

I had an IUD in the 80's and was one of those unlucky women who

experienced a tubular pregnancy..Very scary!I could have died or I could

have damaged my fallopian tubes which would have added complications to

ever conceiving a child in the future.Thankfully, I was lucky enough to

go to emergency at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles who were/are

always on the cutting edge (no pun intended!LOL!) with microscopic

surgery...I later joined a class action lawsuit against the drug company

that made the IUD(They settled) and shortly thereafter, the FDA took the

IUD off the market,or they did so in California..

Have they improved the IUD? Have you spoken to your Doctor about the

possibility of tubular pregnancy?

As far as pain goes try some Valerian root tea..

Concerned in California,

~Falcon

Yes they have improved them a lot and now I think they are over 5 different type

of them. I have the regular copper one but my sister has the hormone one.

Yes another factor in getting one is the chance of having a tubular pregnancy

like you had but the percent is very small. With any type of birth control you

have factors like that. My doctor sat down with me and discussed every type of

birth control out there with me and we picked the one that would fit me the

best. If your doctor does not do this with you and just says go with this one,

then I would find a new doctor.

Blessed Be

Nikki

I'll stick with condoms, no problems there!
